Appalachian Mountains Scenic Spring Landscape | Asheville NC

One of my favorite events of the year, the summer rhododendron bloom along the Blue Ridge Parkway is always an amazing experience. Bright splashes of pink and white flowers paint the mountains in vibrant color under the often dramatic skies of late srping and early summer. This particular scene was found along the Blue Ridge Parkway north of Asheville, North Carolina, and offered up some beautiful sunlight breaking through the cloud cover highlighting the mountain ridges in the distance as well as the rhododendron flowers in the foregound.
