It's hard to beat the natural beauty of a summer day outdoors on the Blue Ridge Parkway at some of the higher altitude areas, where the temperatures are comfortable even on the hottest days, and daily thunderstorms provide a nice breeze as well as dramatic skies overhead that often produce light ray shows for all who are lucky enough to be on an outdoors adventure.
