"Forsaken" - Historic Poinsett's Bridge
| Description: This historic stone bridge was built in 1820 and completed the first road between Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC. The bridge is no longer in use, but it is still standing with minimal deterioration. The bridge is named "Poinsett's Bridge" after the public servant Joel Roberts Poinsett. |
